About Me

Hi, I'm Khairul — a full-stack developer with over 20 years of experience, which in internet years is… basically 3000 years ago.

Old

I was there, before wikipedia and stackoverflow.

I've wrestled with ActionScript, survived Silverlight (RIP), and somehow still write code that runs. I've coded in everything from Perl, PHP to Python (got to catch all those Ps in the LAMP stack), with pit stops in R, JavaScript, NodeJS, and other obscure languages (like Z programming language for Zebra printers, etc).

I tinker, I test, I break things and fix them again — sometimes in that order. I like clean code, smart heuristics, and chairs with lumbar support.

I used to play card games, mostly just Magic: The Gathering. But nowadays, I join boardgame groups and play games like Terraforming Mars, SETI, and many other games.

This blog is where I ramble about code, learn new tech (slowly but enthusiastically), and share the occasional dev war story.
