Wireless Ordeal

Its just tiring.. spent lots of time configuring what the hell is wrong with my linux installation. I’m using SimplyMepis. I booted off the livecd.. it wont start the X window or something with 1024×768 resolution. The monitor light just blink.. and blink.. and blink. So.. I used 800×600 instead, went fine.. but its kinda annoying using the resolution, everything seems so big.
I tried to edit Xf86..something file and set all the modes to include “1024 x 768″, it doesnt work. Maybe i should try to install / compile nvidia drivers first? I’ll try it next morning.
So.. anyway, as I was browsing.. looking for something to help me configuring USB Wireless Adapter on linux, I stumbled upon some info on Ndiswrapper. Claims to be able to run windows peripheral drivers on linux. I’ll try it tomorrow too.
Other than that this is one of the site that I browsed while searching something to get through this ordeal.
