My linux installation wont let me set the resolution to 1024 x 768. I dont know why, i tried to config XF** something by including 1024×768 in the modes, but it doesnt work.
I’ll try installing nvidia drivers tomorrow. Here’s a detail instruction on installing it.
A forum post I found while searching.
Since this post is quite related to graphics. I found a nice opensource 3D engine called Sylphis. Even though I havent tested it yet. Looks nice. I’ll have to allocate some time to look into it.

After listening to TWIT 22 about Microsoft going to release the new windows in 7 editions. Thats just stupid. I think its time to focus on linux a bit more. Make games for linux.. but will it take off? Because i dont think you can distribute something to linux and make it portable to other systems. Hrmm..
Found an interesting link about Game Industry.

Its just tiring.. spent lots of time configuring what the hell is wrong with my linux installation. I’m using SimplyMepis. I booted off the livecd.. it wont start the X window or something with 1024×768 resolution. The monitor light just blink.. and blink.. and blink. So.. I used 800×600 instead, went fine.. but its kinda annoying using the resolution, everything seems so big.
I tried to edit Xf86..something file and set all the modes to include “1024 x 768″, it doesnt work. Maybe i should try to install / compile nvidia drivers first? I’ll try it next morning.
So.. anyway, as I was browsing.. looking for something to help me configuring USB Wireless Adapter on linux, I stumbled upon some info on Ndiswrapper. Claims to be able to run windows peripheral drivers on linux. I’ll try it tomorrow too.
Other than that this is one of the site that I browsed while searching something to get through this ordeal.

After staying at the office for 2 days, mostly doing nothing related to work. I can say that most of the time i’m spending time researching stuff thats already available.. like inventing the wheel or something. Not that i did it on purpose, its just i didnt see it at first glance it.
Spending time researching about my current project, i’ve stumbled upon lots and lots of ASP-based CMSes. ASPNuke, DotNetNuke, Rainbow Portal, Soop Portal, Max Web Portal. Other than that.. i’ve also stumbled upon these — fullxml, xmlnuke.
At first, i decided to go with DotNetNuke, it resembles a lot like Mambo, but then.. its hard to config (have to choose hosting carefully, not all will add user accounts like NETWORK SERVICE and such as easily). AND BEHOLD! Long story short.. I’ve decided to use siteprotect (user management) a very small ASP app that have nice skin system and easy to implement.
Someone in IRC refer me to tactile3d.com, a 3D file browser where you browse the environment and have stuffs and such to interact with. I dont know if it’ll be feasible or not. But come to think of it, maybe it will, but i’m no neuro scientist, I dont know how ppl will be able to adapt to it or is it really productive for public / common / daily use. Although.. i have an idea about an ideal file browser. *MUAHAHAHA!* Its a secret for now.
lost track of time..

Or maybe i’m just lazy. Heh. Anyway, I’m currently busy on a few projects. Nice pay and flexible time, just what i need.
I’ve been doing a little homework on DotNetNuke. Kind of difficult because they dont have those flow chart to view all the workflow of the app.
I’ve start to play dota on battle net at my office. Sometimes i wonder why do i bother to play with it, all these kids calling others names and such. Hehe.
Off for a lil game. Sore-ja
